I have yet to get one, though I do intend to. There are a couple of other brands that I like, though I cannot remember them off-hand.
One of the reasons I have not spent, the admittedly small amount of money, is that I have never had a problem starting a siphon without getting any product in my mouth, be it gasoline, diesel, oil, kerosene, or water. I usually keep my thumb over the end of the hose when I put it in my mouth, and as soon as I see product I close the end of the hose with my thumb, take the hose out of my mouth, put it down to the opening in the receiving container, and move my thumb. About the worst is I might get some product on my thumb when I release it.
I do use clear hose so I can see the product.
Another method, usually in larger containers, is to slowly put all the hose except for about the six inches you hang on to, I place my thumb on the end of the hose, slowly pull it out of the container just far enough to reach the receiving container opening. I release my thumb, and since the hose will be full of product from being submerged, the product will flow. This does only work if the container is large enough to take the hose without kinking or otherwise not allowing the product to enter the entire length.
Just my opinion.
